Terms & Conditions
Project Timescales
The time needed for each project will vary and we will always agree a timescale with the author prior to beginning the project. Should it become apparent, for whatever reason, that any project may need further time, then one of The Writing Team will be in touch with notification of a new date at the earliest possible convenience.
Project Payment
Project payment is payable upon receipt of the invoice. In some circumstances and at the discretion of The Writing Team an arrangement can be made for payment in instalments, but payment must be completed before the return of the manuscript to the author.
Format of Work
Writing Ltd. and its editors work purely electronically, all work will be submitted back to the author as Microsoft Word documents, unless otherwise requested and agreed prior to the commencement of the work.
Confidentiality of Work
Writing Ltd. will keep your work confidential. All manuscripts will only be shared between the editor working on the project and the Writing Ltd. office. You will maintain copyright of your manuscript at all times.
Copyright of editorial reports remains the property of Writing Ltd. Reports will also be kept confidential, however, please note that in some circumstances we may use an editorial report as an example report for any editors that we are training in our house and report style.
Communication Between Editor and Author
Please note that all communication between the editor and the author should go through the Writing Ltd. office. We are happy to arrange ongoing help in the form of answering questions or clarifying reports and editorial points, however, if you would like to take on the services of an editor on a one-to-one basis then please speak to the office about this.
Refund Policy
You have the right to cancel your arrangement with Writing Ltd. prior to the work commencing and a full refund is possible. In this instance please check with the Writing Ltd. office first as to whether the work has begun.
